The car presses on, forward into the night. Trees passing by only illuminated by the glare of the high beams and the soft glow of the half filled moon. The 2004 Pontaic Grand Prix pushes farther, it seemed distant to society. No buildings or other cars, just trees, grass, and pavement. The distance from society was not far at all, but the driver seemed to be thinking of other things.
The driver looks at the dash, the display shows 11:19 pm. It was a Saturday night, a prime Saturday night to be precise. The driver had plans but those plans fell apart in the early evening. Now there was nothing to do but to drive. The driver seemed to have no place in mind, driving for the sake of driving. Driving without purpose but taking in the sensations. The stark cool night air was calming. Not comforting as being in the warmth glow of the sun but, strangely calming. The cold wind breeze passes through the car windows the driver never took notice of the cold. He could not feel how cold the wind blew or how long he was going to continue driving.

New post!
So I am returning to the blogosphere. It has been quite some time since I contributed to blogging. To be honest without blogging I have not been very on topic with anything. Maybe it was the fact that I ended up sleeping for 14 hours today that made me realize that I can't be doing this right. Either way expect to see more blog posts in the next couple of days.
I had a pretty decentweekend friday night. I was finally able to spend a nice night not stuck at my house. The first part of that day was crazy. Chem exam that I could have been more prepared for. Then had dinner with my Mom, Grandma and my cousin who is done with two years of med school. My cousin has changed a lot. Though I think she started things off on the wrong step that day. Starting to lecture me on school, even though she said she wasn't lecturing me but thats what it felt like. Luckily I had band practice that night so I could get away for a while. After band practice Brad and I met up with Anna and went to shoot pool. We went to my favorite place to shoot pool The Ivory Room. The place is really nice and it was also their first time to be in a pool hall which surprised me. I was going to pool hall since I was 17 and 2 years later it didn't seem to be that big a deal.
The best part of the night is when I was able to take a walk around outside near the woods by my house. It was a bit cold but it didn't matter to me. Nothing is more relaxing than being outside in the middle of the night. It is so peaceful, no loud noises, very few cars. It is kind of a place to really get a collective mind and take in all the sensations. The wind blowing through the trees. It really makes me excited for when Spring really blooms and the following summer.

Where is the Theory!?
I've been practising guitar a lot more in the last few days. Maybe its that somehow I feel that eventually I can do vocals and play guitar. It is really a long shot if you ask me. I also lack the theory behind guitar chords. Which means I am at a deficit when trying to play ska chords that work together and or in the same key. This weekend I might be able to learn a bit of guitar theory so I can be more useful. It is definitely strange to have red fingertips again. It is a good feeling! I am very disappointed in myself for not practising guitar like I used to. I was distracted by other things in my life. I forgot how much relaxation I can get from just sitting down and playing through a chord progression. It is even better when now I'm playing ska riffs. They are upbeat and make things even more enjoyable.

Fog
I don't know what it is but for some reason I have a thing for fog. It is foggy outside this morning. I can't sleep so I figured now would be a good time for a blog post. This fog reminded me a lot about the night I went in to a open area and all I could see was white snow and fog. It was very peaceful to me. The fog also has a nice way of distorting light and I could even say it puts a mood into the air. I know some people get an eerie feeling when walking in fog, but to me it is calming. It could be something about the fog obscuring all the things in society or nearby buildings. Another thing about the fog is the way it effects light. Something about seeing the radiance of something in the air is quite fascinating. When there is fog everything seems much quieter. I think this quietness really adds to the peaceful effect of fog on me. If only I could just go for a walk right now through the fog. That would make for a very relaxing and peaceful evening. Well I'm going to try and call it a night. I really need to get my sleep schedule fixed. Being unable to sleep until early morning is most likely not good for me with school and work.

SKAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the only thing eventful for today is that my friend Brad. Who has just recently started a ska band. Has asked me to do vocals for their ska band. I seriously am surprised that I was considered for this. Then also they are possibly playing at the tri-high ruckus. I have always wanted to play at that show at least once. Now I can possibly play that show even as an alumni. I intend to put on a sweet show, maybe pull something like the guy from Granola, Add Bacon did at his show and go temporarly insane LOL. It would make for a very interesting show if you think about it.

UGH
I'm so glad it is finally the weekend. Though found out that because of my screw up of last semester I am not on academic probation meaning if i don't bring my GPA up I won't be able to register for classes next semester. Now my Dad does not want me to go on the Spring Break trip. I can't back out of the trip now, I'm going through with it no matter what. I am not going to be the one who backs out of this after getting people's hopes up for the trip.
Woo I am Programmer!
Well it has been a frustrating night, nothing seemed to be able to work for me. My exploit attempts on the lab network were fruitless. I don't even know where to look now to figure out what to do. My dad is not going to be any help here. Where is the fun in being told how to do something instead of figuring it out yourself. HMPHF! I just want to see how it is done at least once so I at least have something to go by.
Though I finally had some success with my program. With a lot of coaching from my good friend Vignesh who is taking the same class but over at Ann Arbor.
Found out I was using my C compiler and not my C++ compiler.
After realizing that, my program compiled and built the executable correctly. It was really exciting to get it working. I almost yelled out truimphantly but it was 2am and my parents are sleeping. Well I think I might be shooting for over achievement in my programming class because my source code is turned in and it isn't due until the 27th. I'd rather have it in early instead of waiting until that day when I could question my professor on why it wouldn't compile. Anyway I should be heading to bed now. Gotta make it into work sometime in the AM.

If robots then no money!?
I most likely should be getting ready for class and driving down to Dearborn but I feel like I should write this out now. My friend got me into a really interesting discussion about the money system and that it is doomed to fail. His entire argument was based around if we implement robots we can then remove jobs from nearly everything and thus we don't have to have money to pay for the things made by robots. Then everything would just be free! Sounds great right? Well this is not possible because we have limited resources we can't hand out anything for free and in any unlimited amount. It just does not work. Anyway now I need to get ready for school.

Computer Security!
Today was very uneventful, after having a weird time early morning and not being able to sleep until 5 am. It is no wonder I slept in until almost 2 in the afternoon. I worked on some homework for a few. Then went to this ISSA meeting with my Dad. ISSA is like a computer security conference. The speaker today was talking about hacking. It was very interesting, I'm even thinking of changing majors now. My Dad and I are going to set up an older system on a DMZ on our home network. Then I could use metasploit which I just got working to perform any exploits on that computer in order to get access. Then the next step would be to see if it is possible to use that compromised system to hack computers who arn't on the DMZ. It'll be very interesting maybe I can get this set up this weekend. I'm very excited to try this.

They are after me!
So they finally got my engineering account done at the very last moment right before lab class even started. I couldn't even see the program he was writing on the screen oh well. Lecture was interesting and I actually compiled my first program today. This was actually kind of amusing though I couldn't actually test my program but I didn't have any syntax errors, I also don't think it will have any logical errors. I think when I go to class on Thursday I think I might go in early to the engineering computer lab in order to compile my source code. Also the Engineering Fraternity Theta Tau was trying to get me to join them. I am going to stay independent no matter what.
Brilliant!
So building on my great idea of road trip. Going to go with a different perspective here. Instead of driving all the way to California which is in BFE! I think it might just be easier to go to Florida. My friend informed me of his family renting a house in Orlando for the weekend and it wasn't that expensive. Started looking into this and I think I struck gold! I found a house for rent in the first week of March for spring break. 1200 a week. That isn't bad at all, the best thing is... it has sleeping arrangements for up to 12 people. Now 1200 divided by 12 = 100$ per person. This is not that expensive and is actually quite affordable for a week in Orlando. Now just a matter of finding 11 other people who are down to go.
Side note.. I'm really pissed off at the Engineering Computer labs. I put in my request for an Engineering Account last week and it is still not processed and I have lab in around 10 mins. What the FUCK am I going to do for lab now?

ROAD TRIPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the Kevin's New Employees talk at work today. It was strange sitting through that a second time. Then I finally got the learn the software which was kind of enlightening.
Looking much farther into the future. Thinking about the idea of a road trip for spring break. Final destination of said road trip, most likely California. I think it would be quite an interesting trip. Specially with how I'm meeting girls who don't live in Michigan through tagged. It would be cool to eventually stop by on said road trip and meet some of these girls. Well going to have to plan into this a bit more, but it is just an idea!

The Maddness That Cannot be Comprehended
Today has been strange. Not much for an eventful Sunday. I was looking on wikipedia today to try and find a book I had read for my composition class in high school. I finally found the book, it is called Abarat and written by Clive Barker. Looking back on the book it was a very strange setting. The world of Abarat was made of 25 islands, each one representing the hour of the day and a 25th hour island that was very mysterious. The 25th hour island is more a time and space kind of thing. Very hard for me to explain. All this made me search around wikipedia even more and eventually made my way to read some of the Cthulhu Mythos by H.P. Lovecraft. I started reading The Call of Cthulhu, it was a very interesting read. The fearful element in it is the unknown. Through most of the story we are only told about Cthulhu in very strange ways, either through obscure dreams or through artistry done during these strange dream cycles that happen between March 22nd and April 2nd. In the end of the reading I came to a conclusion is that Cthulhu is more or less a manifestation of some subconscious human emotion or thoughts of some sort. Something so bizarre and alien that when actually viewed upon, the onlooker becomes insane. It was a very interesting read gave me a different perspective to things.
If only XP wasn't such a p.o.s.
This will be a shorter post than usual. It is finally the weekend. I was able to sleep in until almost 1:30 in the afternoon. Felt good to get that much sleep. Today I figured it would be a smart idea to fix my Windows XP partition so I could get Warhammer Online working since it doesn't run properly on wine. Luckily doing a repair on windows with the xp disc didn't over write my GRUB bootloader so life was good there. Got things working very easily. Had the system working for a good at least 3-4 hours and then I made my system unstable. I tried to upgrade to Service Pack 2 so I could run the latest version of Itunes. Got half way done with the upgrade and things crashed! It just stopped making any progress. Now I can't even get it to try to reinstall SP2 it is obnoxious. Now I'm trying a system restore to before I attempted to upgrade to SP2. It didn't seem like it was doing anything for the last 20 minutes so I figured that I'll leave it on over night and it should be working in the morning. Key word there is should. I really wish that some games actually ran on linux instead of having to use wine or at least have the game working under wine. Windows has always been such a hassle to me, always breaking when I don't need it to crash. Well enough about computer problems. Time to go to bed. Homework to work on tomorrow.
Yes I do know that technically it is Jan 18th but this is about Jan 17th!

Raptors, not Humans could have become the dominant species on Earth!
Morning
This morning SUCKED. My mom woke me up before the sun was even up. Not something I enjoyed. Kept yelling at me to get up and get to work. I fell back asleep and woke up in time to make it in by 11. At work things weren't really weird. Was surprised to find last week's time sheet submitted I wasn't expecting that to happen. I had to talk to my boss because I am moving desks again. It seems like I can only stay in one cube for about a month at best before I need to get moved around again. I have a choice of a cubical until February or I can take a desk and not worry about moving for a while. I think I'm just going to take the cubical. Desks are not really my thing and I have no idea how i'm going to fit everything on one desk. Monitors, keyboard, mouse, docking station and phone. It might not even fit all on that desk. Also I get to work extra hours this Monday! Have a software training meeting to go to Monday morning which is cool because then I'll have more experience working with the software which possibly means I'll have more things to work on. I only got to work about 2 hours because I needed to go to my face-to-face meeting for my comp 106 class.
Afternoon
I took a different route to get to school today. Took 96 down to Telegraph then Telegraph down to Ford road then over. It seemed a lot faster taking the highway instead of the stop and go of Ford road all the way into Dearborn. Got to the CASL building much earlier than expected and parking was absolutely amazing. So many open parking spots right in the front of the building. Was nice since it was so cold today. Interesting fact for today. It was colder here in Michigan today than it was at the North Pole today. Now that just sucks, it was -15 F here, -5 F at the North Pole. Something just doesn't sit right with me there. The face-to-face class was interesting, was good to see Troy and Professor Woodland again. Got to fiddle around with Second Life again. Was a lot of fun. I even got 115.06$ back today from returning two books that I didn't need to have for 2 of my classes.
Evening
After the face-to-face meeting, I didn't think I could just head back to work for another 2 hours. I stopped at Taco Bell to get a quick snack. I order a Big Taste Taco because they are quite delicious. Well they got my order wrong and gave me one of their deep fried hostess apple pie things. I really don't know what they are actually called but it looks like a deep fried hostess apple pie. Went back through the drive through to get my big taste taco. I was trying to be as polite as I could to the drive through attendant. I know those people go through hell working drive though. Was being cheerful and laughing we all make a little mess up every once in a while and it is really no big deal as long as we do our best to fix them. She even let me keep the apple pie thing for free! It kind of felt like my lucky day to have that happen to me. Then I went up to the mall my friend was working in a few minutes and I figured I should stop by and see him. It is always strange going through Sears after working there. I still see a lot of faces that are still working at Sears. Mainly just shot the breeze with my friend for a majority of the time. Caught up on a lot of things I didn't know went down. Though it is not my business to share so I am not mentioning it here. I finally made my way home and surprisingly Jurassic Park 3 was playing on TNT. I never would think that Jurassic Park 3 would ever play on television. I had forgotten how much I found dinosaurs to be interesting. Back when I was little I had my eyes on being a Palaeontologist when I grew up and I really did know what that was when I was in kindergarten. It has been quite a long day and I am most likely turning in for the night in a few good night!

First Real Blog Post
Today has been quite an interesting day. Woke up actually feeling well. Better than I have in the last few days. Sherry came to clean the house today that woke me up much more earlier than I wanted to. I didn't make it into work today. I'm surprised I havn't heard anything from them. Though tomorrow will show what is really going on. I hope that my boss isn't going to be mad about the whole me getting mono, but what could I do about that. Chemistry lecture was interesting got my answering remote set up with the system. (I left it off for lecture I didn't feel like trying to yell answers from the back of the lecture hall hehe) Same ol' review, intermolecular forces, blah blah blah, not anything new but lecture didn't help make the homework online any easier. At least I was able to chill with Amy during lecture. I still think that Professor Smith was not being a professonal scientist by suggesting to smell the beakers of water, ethanol, and methanol. A real scientist does not go and waft their chemicals in order to figure out what something is. What if the vapors were toxic or deadly. Now you got a dead scientist on your hand. That shouldn't be the way to kick the bucket. (yeah I was trying to find the alcohol in these beakers and I wafted harmful chemicals and died). After lecture I went to the CASL building with my chemistry homework. It was nice and peaceful. I got a kick out of the old guys who were trying to convert people to Christianity. Was amusing seeing them in discussion with an arabic woman. I would have loved to join into the conversation but I was pretty determined to try to see how far I could get on the new chemistry homework. Even though that homework isn't due until the 25th of January. I still have to keep up with all my studies, I don't want to get kicked out of the house because of not applying myself hard enough. Well it is just about time to get to my CIS150 Lecture and listen to my professor in his monotone boring voice.
(Jan 15th 4:20PM Engineering Complex UMD, Michigan)
(Jan 15th 11:10pm My Bedroom, Michigan)
I was pretty much bashing my head into the desk during CIS150 Lecture. My professor was telling the class about computer basics stuff that I've known since I was a wee baby. Well not really a baby but when my dad first showed me how to put together a computer. This is the CPU, this is the memory or RAM. (Bash, bash bash) Got to start somewhere I guess. It is an introduction class to Computer Science so I shouldn't be surprised. I really just want to jump right into the programming. It's what I've never done before and want to give it a spin. After CIS150 I needed to run over to the CASL building to get to Calc 2. For some reason that class isn't such a pain. It is almost a relief going from CIS150 where the boring monotone makes me want to fall asleep to a professor who is speaking in a way that actually engages me in the thought of it. It felt good that I could help out a fellow student who didn't understand a problem that I was able to figure out. I even had questions of my own but another student asked the same question before I could. No matter, interestingly enough the answers were just infront of me. Disguised as different numbers that when you put them together you end up figuring out that answer. It was a much different approach to a math questions. I think that calc 2 mi L-townght be like this; an unique approach to different problems. Then driving home was very uneventful as I started getting closer to home I realize that I've become very tired. Tomorrow should be an interesting day as well. Going back to work and then the face to face meeting for my online comp 106 course.
Hello there Interwebs!
Hey everyone! If you've stumbled onto this, this is my personal blog. I've created this blog in order to better myself in my writing habits. My goal is to attempt to (as best I can) write out the happenings of my life in detail. So I am going to be writing my mind's thoughts here. Yes quite personal but I can't seem to find an easy way to write about anything else in such a large volume in order to practice my skill in writing.
